Ukes’n’more is a vibrant fun-loving uke group based in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.
We strive to bring music and the ability to play and share music to every individual.
Formed in 2016 by Ross Hobbs, the group meets weekly for an hour or so of uke strumming, picking, laughter, fun, conversation, singing…and lots of other stuff! Our community sessions are very well attended each week, and we kept these running during all lockdowns by way of a combination of YouTube livestreams and Zoom meetings.
Beginners are catered for with a 4-week Introduction to Ukulele scheduled each term, and the James Hill Ukulele in the Classroom program is delivered by Ross, who is James Hill Level 2 certified.
We regularly perform at nursing homes and the like (at least, pre-COVID!), recognising the joy that music can bring to every individual, and the responsibility we all have to share our wonderful gifts!
